Villa Andromeda in Chania (Crete)

Villa Andromeda was built in 1870 as the summer residence of Mehmet Reuf Pasha. It later served as the English Consulate and subsequently the German Consulate during the Cretan State. The restored 19th-century neoclassical mansion sits in the aristocratic Halepa district, steps from the Archaeological Museum of Chania.

The villa offers eight spacious, self-contained suites, each with a bedroom, bathroom, and sitting area. Suites come in single-level and split-level configurations, with views ranging from direct sea vistas to tranquil garden settings. All suites are equipped with air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, and mini-bar.

Breakfast is served in the suite, in the garden beside the pool, or on the shared balcony overlooking the sea. The rich breakfast features local specialties, including homemade jams and Cretan products. Fresh fruit, croissants, and cooked-to-order eggs are offered each morning.

The villa has two outdoor swimming pools surrounded by a lush green garden with sun loungers and umbrellas. A private protected parking area is available for guests. Complimentary beach and pool towels are provided, and the garden includes a terrace with outdoor furniture.

A scenic one-kilometer seaside promenade connects the villa to Chania's Venetian Harbor. The hotel is located next to the new Archaeological Museum and close to the House-Museum of Eleftherios Venizelos. Non-touristy dining options and local beaches are within a short walking distance.
